Christine Cochran, executive director, Grain Foods Foundation
Christine Cochran’s work to re-energize the Grain Foods Foundation has been acknowledged by our editorial panel as refreshing. Specifically, Cochran worked to restructure the foundation’s scientific advisory committee to better empower engagement with key influencers and strengthen research in grains. In addition, Cochran has developed proactive campaigns in response to widely-publicized anti-grain sentiments.
Asked what her proudest moments of 2014 have been, she said:
“I am most proud of the bold ways we have advanced the Grain Foods Foundation mission over the past 12 months: strengthening our commitment to those who influence what America eats, championing grains and their vital role in keeping us healthy in body and mind and, for the first time ever, extending ourselves into cutting-edge research with a project that will be unveiled in 2015 that will underpin the Grain Foods Foundation for years to come.”
