Kelly Fulford’s appetite to drive forward the convenience category as a whole through, making General Mills a prime part of that evolution, was acknowledged as invigorating. Specifically, Fulford has dedicated focus on understanding consumer shopping habits in convenience and how each segment within the store interacts. This has helped her team launch several new products into the sector, including Nature Valley Breakfast Biscuits.
Asked what her proudest moments of 2014 have been, she said:
"My proudest accomplishment this past year was receiving a ‘General Mills Champions’ award for my role in advancing growth in the convenience channel. Given to only an exclusive number of employees from across the company, the prestigious award recognized the contributions I have made to our customers to fuel sales--helping to break down complex data and deliver a concise and compelling category management story with actionable insights."
