Jan-Willem Van der Kamp, TNO, project leader HealthBread
Jan-Willem Van der Kamp’s leadership of the EU project to develop healthier breads HealthBread has been acknowledged as vibrant. Van der Kamp has coordinated work among a number of European companies to conceptualize and develop baked goods with improved health properties. Specifically, he has up-scaled the project, preparing the launch of an official HealthBread Association.
Asked what his proudest moments of 2014 have been, he said:
“My proudest moment in the HealthBread project was when - in the final project meeting in Hamburg 15-17 September 2014 - industry partners thanked me for my efforts and announced that they will roll-out the HealthBread concept - with nutrient-rich mild tasting wheat fractions - widely in Europe.”
