Jeffrey Curler
Jeffrey H Curler has announced he will retire as Chairman of the Board at Bemis at the end of 2011 after a career at the company spanning a total of 39 years.
Curler, 60, has been a director of Bemis since 1992, chairman of the board from 2005 and Executive chairman of the company since 2008. Serving in a number of roles previous to this, he was elected chief executive officer of Bemis Company in 2000 and President in 1996. He was also chief operating officer from 1998 to 2000.
Curler joined Bemis in 1973 as a chemical engineer eight years after Bemis acquired Curwood, a Wisconsin flexible packaging company co‐founded by his father.
From 1973 to 1996, he held various management, research and development, and operations positions within the firm.
“Throughout his career at Bemis, Mr Curler consistently inspired his colleagues with his unwavering vision for growth, expansion, and innovation,” said a company statement.
