Sealed Air announced that chief financial officer David Kelsey last week left the company to take up a post at an unnamed privately held company in the Midwest of the US.
Tod S Christie, who has been Sealed Air Treasurer and a corporate officer since 1999, has been appointed to the additional role of Interim Chief Financial Officer, from 12 August .
The Company said it has launched a search to fill the CFO position on a permanent basis.
"We appreciate the contributions Dave has made to Sealed Air over the past ten years and wish him well in his future endeavours," said William V. Hickey, company president and CEO.
David Kelsey said: "I have truly enjoyed my time at Sealed Air and am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with so many talented individuals.
He added: "I continue to believe that Sealed Air is well-positioned to achieve its strategic and financial goals. I now look forward to the opportunity to provide financial leadership for an exciting new venture."
