National Starch has appointed Biomin to distribute its nutrition products in Scandinavia. The exclusive agreement includes the supply of National Starch's resistant starches, Hi-maize and Novelose, plus forthcoming new product developments in carbohydrate nutrition in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden.

"We are very pleased to be appointed by National Starch," said Bengt Eriksson, Biomin managing director. "Our strong track record and knowledge of the nutrition market means we are well placed to deliver a premium quality service to Scandinavian customers."

National Starch, a leading manufacturer of speciality starches, is at the forefront of research and development in carbohydrate nutrition. Its Hi-maize and Novelose resistant starches allow food manufacturers to differentiate products by adding nutritional value without affecting taste or texture.

Biomin, based in Gothenburg, Sweden, offers a wide range of products to the food and feed industries. Dat-Schaub , Univar Oy, Univar and Engelhardt will continue to distribute National Starch's other speciality food starches in Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden respectively.
