Henkel, a manufacturer of adhesives for the packaging industry joined forces with the Save Food initiative at Interpack 2014 to promote the subject of avoidable food wastage and launch its own “Food Safe Packaging” project.
The range of applications for adhesives in food packaging extends from the breakfast cereal box and deep-freeze packaging to glossy potato chip packets and foil and film pouches for perishables such as sausage and cheese.
“The two initiatives complement each other perfectly,” said Harald Bartsch, digital marketing and marketing communications manager, Europe, Henkel. “We want to provide customers in the food industry with the safety and security they need, and contribute to greater consumer and food protection.”
Henkel was at Hall 7 stand C10.
