Earth & Wheat has released a one-off spook-tacular box for Halloween, which makes tackling food waste fun.
The award-winning UK food-waste-fighting brand has come up with every trick or treat in the book with its Halloween Rescue Box, which includes a mixture of wonky or surplus veg, fruit and bread products.
These items would have otherwise been wasted by bakeries and farmers, thanks to their odd shape or size, small imperfection or just being surplus food. That’s when Earth & Wheat step in to save the day, packing the rescued crumpets, flatbreads, naan breads, pumpkin, carrots, peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, mushrooms, apples, clementines and kiwi fruits with care before shipping it with a free activity booklet for little un’s.
“Earth & Wheat is looking forward to unleashing the magic of Halloween with our new Halloween Rescue Box as part of our aim of transforming this year’s spooky festivities into a sustainable and delicious affair,” said Earth & Wheat founder James Eid.
“This latest launch gives us the chance to tackle a serious subject about how we all need to do our bit to reduce food waste and save the planet but in a fun way for families. For the first time ever, families can enjoy a perfect blend of rescued bread, vegetables, and fruits all in one bewitching box.
“We’ve put together a delectable assortment of high-quality, rescued ingredients which are perfect for any Halloween party in one fun-filled box plus it includes a scary activity booklet for your little terrors.”
The Earth & Wheat Halloween Rescue Box is available until 25 October for an RRP of £18.99.
