Krispy Kreme is zeroing in on the consumer’s love for childhood nostalgia by partnering with one of General Mills’ iconic cereal brands.

The popular American doughnut chain has launched three extremely limited edition treats that really exploit the taste of Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

Cinnamon Milk Glazed Doughnut, Cinnamon Milk Glazed Doughnut with Cream Cheese and Cinnamon Milk Glazed Doughnut with Dulce de Lech are guaranteed to grab consumer attention. But act fast, as they’re only available until 5 May or until supplies run out.

All three will have a glaze inspired by the cinnamon-tinged milk that kids of the 1990s and early 2000s will remember. The latter two are also sprinkled with the brand’s iconic toast-shaped cereal pieces.

The power of brand licensing

This is Krispy Kreme's second collaboration with the General Mills brand. The two joined forces last year to introduce Krispy Kreme's first-ever cinnamon rolls, including one topped with Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

"Partnering again with Cinnamon Toast Crunch is great and we know there's a lot of desire for cereal milk inspired treats," said Dave Kena, Krispy Kreme's chief marketing officer.

"The creamy, cinnamony glaze on our light, fluffy doughnut is a great new taste combination that our fans will love."

The doughnuts are available individually or by the dozen in a limited-edition cereal box-inspired box, which is complete with a word search on the back.
