The acknowledged expert in crispy, soft, taste and texture for the bread and pastry space has appointed Jean-François Honoré as president and CEO of the group.

Jean-François Honoré brings with him a deep knowledge of ingredient and formulation, along with commercial expertise and a unique capacity to empower multicultural teams with high potential. He is taking over the position from Jean-Philippe Girard, founder of Eurogerm, who is retiring after 30 years in top spot.

With more than 25 years with several major groups under his belt, the 54-year-old trained engineer has a multidisciplinary background, which includes a stint at the Institute of Management and Business Administration (INSEAD). Combining strong organic and external growth, Honoré has also successfully headed nutrition companies in Asia, Europe, and the US.

His appointment constitutes an essential asset for the French-headquartered Eurogerm, with its core of know-how depending on sourcing, conception and tailored mixture – Honoré’s key areas of expertise.

He has been tasked to ramp up the group’s international growth strategy and engage sustainable customers, partners and collaborators in a responsible development approach in line with the group’s purpose to feed a better future.

The new lead has a most important asset, in sharing a name with the patron saint of bakers.

All the partners and employees welcome their new CEO and wish him every success within EUROGERM and the wheat-flour-bread-pastry industry.

‘30 years of unforgettable moments’

“I am very glad to pass the baton to Jean-François to lead a team that has never stopped to impress me during all those years,” said Girard.

“30 years of success, of growth, of meaningful and unforgettable moments, 30 years of loyalty and co-building with our clients, associates and partners, 30 years dedicated to a wonderful, exciting and creative wheat-flour-bread sector. My biggest achievement will be from now on the one of this new climbing line.”

Added Honoré, “I am very keen to join Eurogerm, first for its values, but also for its proximity with the whole of its partners and first and foremost its clients, enthusiastic to do it through an entrepreneurial friendly shareholder environment that will allow the speed up of group major developments during months and years to come.”

Since its creation in 1989, Dijon-headquartered Eurogerm has worked hand-in-hand with clients in the wheat-flour-bread-pastry industry. The group has more than 500 partners, 15 subsidiaries across the globe and brought in a turnover of €133m in 2021.
