The work is expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2018.

Jorge Ferreira, manager Intraplás, said the project is still in the execution phase, but the warehouse’s operational optimization is another step forward in technological innovation.

The tailor-made solution developed by Consoveyo for this project allows us to respond to our main goals, which translates into greater effectiveness of occupied space, reduction of operational times and optimization of human resource management involved in the process,” he said.

The automatic warehouse for finished product will be installed in the Lordelo industrial unit, Guimarães, and will have a capacity of approximately 14,400 pallets.

18,000 pallets

The facility will be equipped with three 30-meter-high stacker cranes and will produce an estimated monthly output of 18,000 pallets.

As part of the project, Consoveyo will provide an Automatic Pallet Transport System equipped with two shuttle cars, which will interface with the production and shipping areas.

As well as a Warehouse Management System/Material Flow Control (WMS/MFC) software to monitor management of storage locations, orders, inventory and all automatic system movements.

Consoveyo is a system integrator and provider of automated conveyor technology and storage systems headquartered in Porto, Portugal.
