Faerch Plast acquires Anson Packaging
Færch Plast has acquired Anson Packaging, which manufactures thermoformed packaging for ready meals, fresh meat, and cold foods and snacks.
The acquisition takes place one year after private equity fund EQT VI, acquired Faerch Plast, opening up opportunities for further development of the company through acquisitions and organic growth initiatives.
Faerch Plast has also announced a three-year investment programme to expand production facilities at Anson Packaging.
Lars Gade Hansen, president/CEO, Faerch Plast, said the firm wants to develop further in Europe and globally.
“The new ownership has provided us with a platform to take a more aggressive approach to acquisitions,” he said.
Anson Packaging, based in Cambridgeshire, UK, has been owned by the Dujardin family for 40 years. Mark Dujardin, chairman and majority shareholder of Anson, will join the Board of Directors at Faerch Plast.
"The acquisition of Anson Packaging is the biggest acquisition in the history of Faerch Plast,” added Hansen.
“We have a continuing ambitious growth strategy, where we actively examine possibilities that can complement Faerch Plast in markets, products and factories.”
