tna has acquired FOODesign, which makes fryers and cookers, including kettle batch fryers, baking and toasting ovens, and specialty roasting equipment for food processing plants, based in Oregon, US.

The acquisition is effective from May 1, and the company will keep its name and become integrated into the tna group.

With FOODesign providing equipment to many of the top 100 food processing companies in the world, the acquisition gives tna access to all the necessary skills, networks, market knowledge and relationships to provide customers with a new choice in processing equipment – from fryers and feed systems through to packaging and controls,” said Michael Green, MD, tna.

Joseph Mistretta, president, FOODesign said up until now, its business primarily focused on North America but joining tna is an exciting prospect for the firm and its customers.

Our acquisition by tna instantly opens up a wealth of opportunities, giving us access to a global and extensive sales network,” he said.
