G3 Enterprises, a wine and beverage label producer for the E&J
Gallo Winery, recently selected Belgian pre-press software expert
Artwork Systems Group as its new workflow provider.

The company chose Artwork Systems' $164,000 ArtPro and Nexus configuration to replace a Heidelberg-based solution.

Nexus is a comprehensive high-end workflow solution for label and packaging environments designed to increase productivity in pre-production through the automation of labour-intensive prepress tasks. It is a modular system built on three core modules: NexusIMPORT, NexusPROCESSOR and NexusRIP, which may or may not run on the same hardware configuration, allowing users to configure the system to their own functionality, throughput and security needs.

Artwork Systems claims that the second component of the package, ArtPro, is one of the world's most productive and effective editors for the pre-production of labels and packaging. This workstation software, running on Apple Macintosh, includes many dedicated functions and tools to prepare the graphics for a wide array of packaging productions including litho printing, flexo printing, gravure and silkscreen.

The company contends that with more than 8,000 licenses sold worldwide, the ArtPro concept is fast becoming an industry standard.

"Artwork Systems' strong experience and heritage in label and package production technology is evident in its comprehensive approach to the Nexus workflow," said G3 Enterprises' technology manager, Bruce Nielsen. "This workflow feels as if it were custom-engineered for us, and the level of support Artwork Systems provides follows suite in making our people feel they are always the priority."

Dennis Mehta, Artwork Systems general manager said: "The label is the most critical marketing component of wine, and so we are honoured to have one of the world's premier wine label manufacturers choose ArtPro and Nexus for its demanding production workflow. G3 Enterprises is a sophisticated, world-class organization that will show Artwork Systems to its greatest advantage. We are thankful for the opportunity."

Artwork Systems develops complete and integrated software solutions for the preparation of professional colour printing or pre-press. Artwork Systems now has offices in Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, the United Kingdom, and the United States with international support structures in Australia, Brazil, Mexico and Singapore.
