M&S goes nuts for Amcor Flexibles

Marks & Spencer, one of the UK's leading retailers, has launched a range of nuts in a highly transparent, yet oxygen protected laminate from Amcor Flexibles Europe.
Marks & Spencer considers product visibility to be an important element in maintaining consumer trust, so the new packs feature a clear window allowing customers to see what they are buying. The pack also has substantial standout thanks to AFE's extensive development of metallic inks.
The laminate of Camclear AlOx clear barrier polyester film and polyethylene gives comparable shelf life performance as the packs' previous two-ply metallised polyester specification, AFE claims.
"The selection of Camclear film for this demanding application underlines Amcor Flexibles' commitment to constantly improving the barrier properties of in-house manufactured transparent materials," said AFE.
Camclear film is produced by Amcor Flexibles Camvac of Thetford, UK, and laminated and printed by Amcor Flexibles Colodense, based in Bristol, UK.
Amcor Flexibles Camvac is a global leader in vacuum coated barrier and speciality films and laminates for bag-in-box, food packaging and a range of other technical and speciality applications. Amcor Flexibles Colodense specialises in both gravure and flexo printed laminates predominantly serving the major manufacturers of confectionery, snacks and biscuits.
