Germany's Boekels group has upgraded its WS 30 kg B and WS 60 kg B heavy duty weighers, giving them a new weighcell designed by parent company Sartorius and an EWK 2000 weighing electronics unit.

The state-of-the-art load-cell weighing electronics unit, with its digital signal processor, can handle 2000 weights per second, which it processes with the aid of diverse intelligent algorithms to deliver optimal weighing results for any and all applications.

This means that a WS 30 kg B or 60 kg B in combination with an EWK electronic evaluator constitutes a high-performance check weigher for verifying the weight and integrity of products in large packages, sacks, boxes, bags or bundles in accordance with the EU pre-packed goods regulation, the company said. The basic endowment includes a high-resolution 10.5-inch colour display and a product memory for up to 100 products. Future supplementary functions will derive from the weighing systems' trend controller with control indicator, infinitely adjustable belt-speed control, and/or verifiability in accordance with OIML R51.
