The Netherlands is the best place in Europe for food and drink
processors to locate manufacturing plants, according to a cost
comparison study by KPMG.
Biodegradable and recycled packaging may soon become viable
alternatives for more food companies as the increasing price of
plastics begins to be passed on by suppliers, KPMG states in a
report.
KPMG, the administrators working on behalf of failing UK food
supplier Albert Fisher, has announced that some 320 jobs cuts have
been made at the company's King's Lynn vegetable processing plant.
