Sonoco and Smurfit Kappa Group have expanded their reach in South America with Sonoco to acquire a majority interest in Graffo Paranaense de Embalagens (Graffo) in Brazil and Smurfit Kappa Group’s acquisition of Grupo CYBSA in El Salvador and Costa Rica.
CCL Industries, a world leader in developing manufacturing,
packaging and labelling solutions for the consumer products
industry, has announced that it has sold four non-core business
units in its Container Division.
The food unit of Mexican conglomerate Grupo Alfa, Sigma Alimentos,
said on Thursday that it had acquired Costa Rica's leading producer
and distributor of processed meats, Embutidos Zar, for an
undisclosed amount.
