LED fixtures brighten food processing environments
The LED lights reportedly offer a high degree of energy efficiency, as well as the ability to stand up to demanding industrial environments. The fixures, available as either a new installation or as a retrofit to existing Kemlux III fixtures, are rated for installation in severe locations.
tough lighting
According to Scott Muse, president of South Carolina-based Hubell Lighting, said the fixures are designed to help food processing facility managers light up their plants without worrying about tough conditions degrading the lights.
“The Kemlux III LED Series delivers the performance and durability to efficiently light corrosive and harsh areas in food processing plants,” he said.
The Kemlux III LED Series fixture delivers up to 105 lumens per watt of 5000K light and its modular design provides 6 mounting options. The radial design (with fins of durable copper-free, cast aluminium) enable it to operate in a wide degree of temperatures (-40 degrees C to 40 degrees C ambient environments).
Keeping cool
Additionally, the LEDs keep cool during use and offer an estimated 100,000 hours of life at L70. Further, the tan Lektrocote powder polyester paint finish is intended to resist corrosion and chemicals.
The Kemlux III LED Series has high output LED counts of 18, 24 and 36 on up to six individual light engines. The total wattage ranges from 43-86 W with a lumen output ranging from 4405 to 9004 lumens. Custom-engineered LED optics reportedly provide controlled, evenly distributed light with three distributions patterns: Type V square, Type V rectangle and Narrow. Surge protection and universal voltage LED drivers are standard.
