Snikiddy says its new Soy Ginger variety should tap into the popularity of umami flavors
Snikiddy has developed a soy and ginger variety of its vegetable snack to tap into unique flavor demands, it says.

The all-natural snack specialist has launched the soy and ginger flavor of its Eat Your Vegetables snack brand exclusively in Kroger stores across the US.

“The combination of soy and ginger deliver that umami (sweet, sour, bitter, salty, taste) all of our taste buds crave,” said Mary Schulman, founder and executive vice president of marketing for Snikiddy.

“These flavor contrasts all packed in one is quickly becoming more and more popular in many of our favorite entrees, but finding this Far East combination in the snack aisle is very unique,” she said.

The free-from vegetable chips are made using kale, broccoli, spinach, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, navy beans, carrots and shitake mushrooms.

The Asian-inspired flavor will join the line which includes Sea Salt, Sour Cream & Onion, Jalapeno Ranch, Italian Herb & Olive Oil and Sea Salt & Lime.
