Scholle Packaging has acquired controlling interest in Flexpack and WS Packaging has bought Label World from Kamylon Capital to kick off 2013 with a bang.

Scholle, a provider or flexible performance packaging solutions, sealed the deal for Flexpack, a designer and manufacturer of stand-up pouch packaging for an undisclosed sum.

Dr Richard Heath, vice president of new ventures for Scholle Packaging, said: “Stand-up pouch solutions complement our core bag-in-box product offering very well, especially in the growing Latin American market, which is why Flexpack is such a good fit for us.”

WS Packaging, a printer and label converter, completed the buy of Label World, which has a core business of pressure-sensitive labels.

Rex Lane, chief executive officer of WS Packaging, said: "The company leverages the problems and challenges of a competitive marketplace and turns them into opportunities.”
