Vemag’s vacuum filler handles 25 tonnes an hour

Vemag displayed its latest vacuum filler upgrade at the FachPack trade show in Nuremberg, Germany, last week: the HP30E.

The machine is designed to handle the biggest production jobs for, say, meat and cheese processors and can tackle filling rates of up to 25 tonnes an hour, according to the company.

“The HP30E is able to process cold, stiff or chunky raw material for raw sausages, minced meat or reformed cheese,” said Vemag.

“The machine fills large calibre products for slicing at maximum output. The necessary torque is achieved effortlessly even when grinding through hold plates with a hole diameter of 0.8mm to 2mm, and this at high output rates.”

Easy cleaning and maintenance

The HP30E has been designed for easy cleaning and maintenance. The feed screw can be quickly dismantled for cleaning with the hopper tilted open.

Once the feed screw has been removed, the feed seals are freely accessible, so they can be checked every time the machine is cleaned and swiftly replaced if necessary.

Removable housing covers on two sides of the machine make the inner workings simple to get to.

High flexibility

The HP30E can accommodate various attachments, enabling it to cope with filling, clipping, grinding or separating, catering for the demand for high flexibility on the production line, said Vemag.

The machine uses Vemag’s Duo-Drive technology, incorporating two separate drives for the pumping element and the feed working independently to prevent performance from dropping, even with cold, stiff products.

The company added that the HP30E operated with double screws for gentle product handling and maximum weight accuracy, the latter aided by a virtually friction-free feed.

Separation grinder

Other recent launches at the show from Vemag included its separation grinder 982. This can separate unwanted bone, sinew and skin from minced meat at rates of up to 8.7 tonnes an hour, the firm claims.

Vemag’s FM250 shaping machine is attached directly to the mincer, shaping and dividing the product as specified.

The equipment is designed for gentle meat handling in order to deliver a level of texture similar to that of hand-made products.
