Jones’ remit is to oversee customer relationships across all retail channels – including UK supermarkets, discounters and the convenience channel.
He joins the team at a crucial time – Bimbo’s popularity is at an all-time high and the UK company is expanding its portfolio beyond bagels and viennoiserie to reflect the global brand offering.
Additionally, Jones’ leadership role will ensure focus on the company’s purpose to ‘Nourish a Better World’ is implemented at every touch point – to ensure its balances quality products and happy associates, with emphasis on reducing its environmental impact.
Exciting times ahead
Jones has a long history in the bakery industry, bringing a wealth of more than 15 years knowledge and expertise to his latest role.
Prior to his role as business unit controller at Hovis Ltd, he spent 12 years at Allied Bakeries in a range of customer manager and controller roles across wholesale, foodservice and retail. During this time, he brought new branded concepts to market, as well as launching whole portfolios of customer-own label bakery.
