The low-calorie snacks comprise a proprietary blend of ancient grains and high cocoa mass chocolate infused with omega 3 and 6 oils. They also contain a mouth-friendly crunch and were created for ‘mindful eaters of all ages’.
Good Source Foods purportedly was the first to market dayparted functional snacks in 2019. Not buckling under the challenges of COVID, but rather seeing it as an opportunity to help stem the weight gain during lockdown, the St. Francis, Wisconsin-based producer developed the Ancient Grains heart healthy formula. The line launches with three variants – Quinoa Crunch, Hemp Hearts and Simply Seeds – all of which are under 150 calories, 100% natural, non-GMO, gluten free and Fair Trade.
All-natural nutrition
“Our brand is focused on delivering healthy snacks that taste good,” said John Byrnes, founder and CEO of Good Source Foods.
“Our management team is committed to continuously expanding the line with innovative products that satisfy appetites with all-natural nutrition without unnecessary, hidden calories that encourage overeating.”
He added the company is continuing to innovate, with additional new products in the works.
“We’re in this for the long-term mission to help consumers 'Get Healthy, Stay Healthy and Enjoy Life’,” said Byrnes.
