Third generation UK jewellery designer Max Stone has created an especially special engagement ring to make your proposal just a little bit sweeter.

With so much pressure to find that ‘perfect’ engagement ring, the engagement ring specialists at Steven Stone Jewellers want to remind lovers that expressing their declaration of love should actually be fun.

To celebrate National Donut Day in the US on 4 June, the brand’s top designer has created the world’s first engagement ring inspired by the classic pink iced Krispy Kreme donut.

Made from 18 carat gold, the shank (the band of metal that encircles the finger) is set with sparkling white diamonds.

The head is based on Krispy Kreme’s iconic Strawberry Sprinkles variant – featuring a halo of pink enamel to emulate the donut’s icing and set with a pick ‘n’ mix of gemstones (the sprinkles), including pink morganite, blue topaz, green emerald and fancy yellow diamonds.

The cost of the ring is £3,000 ($4,500); however, prices can start from £995 ($1,400) for a simpler design. If pink icing doesn’t tickle your tastebuds, the designer will also create a bespoke ring based on your favourite Krispy Kreme flavour.

Add a splash of fun

“The ring is designed to add a splash of fun to your proposal, as we know there's often pressure on couples to have a ‘perfect’ engagement ring, which can be stressful,” said Max Stone.

“Everyone loves a tasty, colourful donut, topped with sprinkles – so why not give your partner a sweet treat to last a lifetime?

“The design is quirky, eccentric, and will definitely give you a story to tell for years to come.”

The ring, just like a donut, is handcrafted and handfinished fresh to order and will be delivered to homes around the world within three to four weeks. Orders will be accompanied with a free box of treats from Doughnut Time.
