The German-owned British producer of branded and own-label maize-, potato-, and nut-based snacks has teamed up with The Food Warehouse by Iceland to debut its cult favourite Hula Hoop and Space Raiders snacks in the freezer aisle.

KP Snacks has collaborated with the UK supermarket chain to create a range of frozen potato snacks that “blurs the line between crisp and chip”.

The potato waffle-style variants reflect the exact taste and look of the real thing, but are all freeze-able, meaning they have a long shelf life and are available for that quick snack fix 24/7.

The Hula Hoops feature the same distinctive ring of potato in Original and BBQ Beef flavours, while Space Raiders presents the same out-of-this-world face, available in Beef and Pickled Onion variants.

“The KP Snacks addition to our frozen food section is a really exciting one,” said David Lennox, head of Product Development at Iceland.

“We are always working closely with suppliers to create new and exciting products we know our customers will love and this is one we believe will temp crisp and chip lovers alike.”

The crisp-inspired freezer collection is available instore as well as online, for an RRP of £1.50 (650g-680g bags).
