The webinar, hosted by British Baker, will explore what clean label means to consumers and the industry, as well as the reformulation challenges that may arise as part of the clean label journey.

Clean label is climbing the bakery agenda as consumers seek healthier baked goods with easy-to-understand ingredients lists.

Identified as one of the top bakery trends for 2021, the meaning of clean label has evolved in recent years beyond the removal of chemically modified ingredients to a broader one.

All this and more will be explored in the upcoming webinar ‘Consumers, Covid and clean label baking – what’s next’ which takes place on Thursday 18 March at 1pm GMT.

Hosted by BakeryandSnacks’ sister title British Baker, the webinar will see a host of industry experts discuss all things clean label from what it really means to consumers and the baking industry, to how manufacturers and suppliers can tap into it.

What’s more, it will explore potential solutions for those on a clean label journey as well as asking whether it’s possible to reformulate treats to make them healthier while keeping the ingredients list as simple as possible.

Moderated by British Baker editor Amy North, the panel includes:

•             Emma Clifford, associate director – food and drink research, Mintel

•             Andrew John Flounders, senior applications specialist, IFF

More speakers are due to be added so stay tuned for updates.

Attendees will also be able to put their burning questions to the panel during a live Q&A by submitting them upon registration or during the event.
