The new range offers the same flavour potency and versatility as the producer’s Butter Buds 32X concentrates. The company leverages on its proprietary enzyme-modification process to create natural powdered concentrates that are as much as 80 times the flavour strength of real butter … and now real cheese.
According to the Wisconsin-based manufacturer, the Cheese Buds 32X Cheddar range delivers an intense cheddar flavour profile at a much lower and more forgiving usage rate than standard cheese powders.
The X-Blends are designed to replace spray-dried cheese or cheese powder blends and are produced from a blend of cultured and enzyme-modified cheese solids with whey and buttermilk solids, delivering up to five times the flavour strength of commodity spray-dried cheeses/cheese blends.
Butter Buds added snack developers will find the cheese concentrates offer unprecedented flexibility, while the low usage rate helps reduce commodity costs, making it very cost effective.
The extensive new range includes a number of cheese types, including Cotija, Cheddar, Blue, Parmesan, Asiago, Feta and Emmenthal, among others.
