Chilean keto snacks producer set to double output with disruptive dehydration technology

The Chilean snack producer – which previously signed a royalty-bearing commercial license with EnWave in 2015 – has purchased a second 10kW REV machine to double its royalty-bearing capacity.

Under the agreements, Intakt pays the Vancouver-based technology company a 5% royalty on the revenues it generates from REV-dried products.

EnWave’s REV technology is an proprietary method for the precise dehydration of organic materials.

The company’s strategy is to sign royalty-bearing commercial licenses with disruptive companies in multiple verticals in the food and pharma sectors for the use of its technology, with over 40 licenses signed to date.

REV is offered in two platforms:

• nutraREV, a drum-based system that dehydrates organic materials quickly and at low-cost, while maintaining high levels of nutrition, taste, texture and colour.
• quantaREV, a tray-based system used for continuous, high-volume low-temperature drying.

Additionally, EnWave has established the NutraDried Food Company to manufacture, market and sell all-natural dairy snack products in the US, including Moon Cheese brand.

NutraDried leverages EnWave’s REV technology to remove the moisture from cheese without impacting the nutrition or flavour to produce an all-natural crunchy snack.
