Prestige Hampers rolls out UK’s biggest sausage roll
The online retailer of hampers and gifts has developed a sizeable treat to give to dads on Father’s day (June 16).
According to Prestige Hampers, its megasized handcrafted sausage roll could ‘quite possibly be the UK’s biggest’.
At 15 inches (38cm) long, it beats the record held by Morrison’s foot-long offering.
It is also heavier, tipping the scales at 1.3kg; Morrison’s twelve-inch number weighed in at around half a kilogramme.
Prestige Hampers also claims its beast is three times longer and over eight times heavier than the average sausage roll.
The rolls are made from prime British pork shoulder, herbs and seasonings and encased in a rich all-butter puff pastry. Available for purchase online from the beginning of June for a limited period RRP of £16.99.
