Ingredion creates one-stop online repository for bakery and snack producers in APAC

The global ingredients specialist has extended its online interactive portal to the bakery and snacks market in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

According to Ingredion, Inside Idea Labs is a ‘one-stop repository’ of the collective knowledge developed across Ingredion’s brick-and-mortar innovation labs around the world, giving producers 24/7 online access to essential information on bakery and snack applications.

Visitors can find innovative concepts, consumer insights, ready-to-use formulations, science-based research and responses to frequently asked questions.

Resources cover key topics such as moisture management, texture enhancement and fibre fortification.

Innova Market Insights research found that APAC has seen an increase in demand for cakes with moist texture claims, and there has been a significant increase in product launches for bakery and snack products with texture and fibre claims.

Focusing on these areas lets manufacturers address aspects such as long-term freshness, creating, boosting nutritional profiles and tackling other consumer requirements.

Finally, manufacturers will learn how to troubleshoot challenges using Ingredion’s extensive portfolio of solutions that ranges from specialty starches and texturisers to plant-based ingredients.
