According to the Kansas City-headquartered snack cake giant, more than 31 million Hostess Birthday CupCakes have been enjoyed by Americans during its 2019 Sweetennial year – which translates to enough iconic signature squiggles to stretch more than 1,143 miles.
The history-making snack was originally created at a limited time offering to celebrate the company’s 100th anniversary. But, due to the ‘overwhelming’ sales, the Twinkies maker has added the product to the brand’s permanent snack cake lineup.
It’s a clear message Hostess is right on cue in responding to consumer cravings.

Hostess Birthday CupCakes feature golden cake with rainbow sprinkles baked in and a vanilla icing. Topping the treat are more rainbow sprinkles and The Original Squiggle. The snacks are available in multi-pack and single-serve formats in outlets across the US.
