Nonni’s collaboration with ALSF includes a $25,000 donation.
ALSF is a non-profit organization with a mission to change the lives of children with cancer through funding research, raising awareness and supporting families.
“It is an honor to join Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in the fight against childhood cancer,” said Patricia Wong Bridges, senior brand marketing manager for Nonni’s Foods.
“The moment we heard Alex Scott’s incredible story, we knew we had to give back in any way we could.”
Meet Alex
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the lemonade stand of 4-year-old cancer patient Alexandra Scott, who wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer.
Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she passed away at the age of eight in 2004, she had raised $1m.
Today, ALSF is one of the leading funders of pediatric cancer research in the US and Canada, having raised more than $150m to fund nearly 1,000 grants at 135 institutions.
“It’s amazing to see brands like Nonni’s step up to help make a difference to families impacted by childhood cancer,” said Liz Scott, Alex’s mother and co-executive director of ALSF.
“We’re excited to see what this year has in store and foster a partnership with a company such as Nonni’s. The lemon-inspired flavors from Nonni’s Biscotti are the perfect avenue to further share our mission across the US.”
Raise awareness
Nonni’s limited edition Limoncello Pistachio Biscotti, as well as its popular Limone Biscotti, available year-round, will feature the ALSF logo on their packaging to raise awareness for the organization.
Both ALSF-endorsed products are available at select retailers across the US for Nonni’s Biscotti uses only wholesome ingredients, such as eggs, butter and sugar, and each biscuit contains only 110 calories.
The ALSF-endorsed products join Nonni’s Foods’ other flavors – Originali, Cioccolati, Dark Chocolate Almond, Limone, Salted Caramel, Triple Chocolate, Turtle Pecan and Toffee Almond – at select retailers across the US for a RRP of $3.50-£3.99 for a 6.88oz box, which contains eight individually wrapped biscotti.
