After announcing its 2019 reorganization plan late last year, Kellogg confirmed it is following through with structural changes, which includes cutting 79 positions from its Global Growth Team (GGT).

Kris Bahner, senior vice president of global corporate affairs, told BakeryandSnacks that, many of the ex-GGT members will move into specific roles under the Kellogg North America (KNA) umbrella.

Effective February 25, these shifts will “ensure we have the right balance of resources,” he said.

“Our leaner and more agile GGT organization will be focused on prioritized initiatives that deliver accelerated growth.”

The company consolidated its US Morning Foods, Snacks and Frozen Foods business units in January. It has also been teasing a sale of its cookies and fruit snacks lines, BakeryandSnacks reported in November.
