Colpac to launch compostable heat seal sandwich pack
The company claims the Zest heat seal pack can extend the shelflife of sandwiches with short shelflife ingredients, provide tamper evidence without labelling and is eco-friendly.
The pack, including the window, is made from materials that allow the entire pack to be recycled as paperboard or composted as it meets the EU Directive Standard EN13432.
Suitable for any food service operator, from delicatessens, salad bars and bakeries, to supermarkets and coffee shops and restaurants, the Zest heat seal sandwich pack can be customised to suit a customer’s requirements.
Colpac’s Zest Eco-Packaging range was developed in response to a growing demand from food service operators looking for packaging that allows for different waste streams.
Packaging Innovations will be held at the NEC Birmingham, UK, from February 27–28.
