Kellogg’s has introduced a cereal called Hi! Happy Inside geared towards consumers in search of enhancing their overall health and specifically, their digestive health.

Kellogg claims Hi! Happy Inside delivers 1 billion live probiotics from active strains, contains 2.5g of prebiotics and has 8-9g of fiber.

“Hi! Happy Inside is a delicious cereal with three powerful ingredients to support digestive wellness,” said Aleta Chase, marketing director for the brand.

“This new cereal provides a proactive real food solution to people who want to incorporate more prebiotics and probiotics into their diet.”

The cereal was developed at WK Kellogg Institute for Food & Nutrition Research, a global community of food researchers, designers and makers at Kellogg Co.

“Maintaining a healthy digestive system is essential to overall wellbeing and everyday life,” said Regan Jones, RD.

“Many registered dietitians know that probiotics alone aren’t enough, and the 3-in-1 combination of prebiotic, probiotics and fiber through real foods such as Hi! Happy Inside is one thing you can do daily to help support your overall health.”

The cereal is available in three variants – Coconut Crunch, Blueberry and Strawberry – in 34.5oz resealable bags at Costco for a RRP of $12.99, and in six-count cup on Amazon for a RRP of £13.99.

Kellogg said individual cups will be available nationwide in food, drug and e-commerce channels in early 2019 for $1.99.
