Speciality ingredients producer Parker Products has officially opened its new plant in Fort Worth, Texas.

The planning of the 90,000 ft2 facility began seven years ago and has three times the capacity of Parker Products’ previous location.

According to Shon Essex, executive vice president of the speciality ingredients provider, no detail was overlooked.

“We went above and beyond the industry standard in plant design to create a world-class facility that is second to none,” he said.

Going green

The plant houses all the company’s operations, with a focus on quality control while improving efficiency and introducing green initiatives.

For example, all the production lines are equipped to digitally monitor real-time quality control checks and overall equipment effectiveness.

Additionally, each production room in the new facility features a separate air handling system to prevent cross contamination.

The facility’s eco-friendly features include LED light systems with motion control, stainless insulated metal panels, an ammonia water chill system and humidity control.

Parker Products, founded in 1926, produces a range of inclusions and specialty ingredients for the baking, dairy, beverage, confectionery, foodservice, and RTE and snack industries.
