Snyder’s-Lance recalls Emerald glazed walnuts
Snyder’s-Lance has initiated a voluntary recall for a limited amount of its glazed walnut products distributed across the US due to the potential presence of undeclared peanuts.
The company said there have been no reported illnesses, but it is taking the action as a caution after receiving consumer complaints.
“People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product,” Snyder’s-Lance said.
The recall is limited to a specific production code (EN1216XX2) that consumers can locate next to the nutrition facts panel on the package. The product's Best Before date is December 15, 2018.
Snyder’s-Lance said it is working with the FDA on the recall and encourages consumers to contact its consumer affairs unit for a full refund.
