A major reorganization of Kellogg’s snacks direct store delivery system took its toll on sales in the first quarter of the year, the company has admitted.
Kellogg has unveiled a raft of new breakfast and snacking products as it looks to tap key consumer trends including demand for protein and ancient grains.
Cereal manufacturers will continue to diversify through acquisitions and by switching resources to other parts of the breakfast market, according to analysts Lux Research.
Kellogg has reported a 10.6% drop in overall sales in the last quarter of 2015 to £3.1bn – but says performance of its US cereals business is improving.
