Parmentine and Greiner Packaging launch on-the-go potato snack
Parmentine has partnered with Greiner Packaging to launch an on-the-go potato snack in France.
The cup of pre-washed potatoes come in a cardboard-plastic ‘K3’ cup and can be heated in the microwave. It comes with a sauce, in a variety of flavours, and a fork in the lid.
Kenneth Boldog, sales director, K Europe, Greiner Packaging, told BakeryandSnacks, the cups come with a cardboard wrap that reduces the heat from contact with the hot potatoes and allows consumption straight from the cup.
There is also a ‘window’ in the wrap so that consumers can see the product before buying it.
“The cardboard and plastic combination makes our K3 cups very popular,” said Boldog.
“The cups not only look and feel good, they appeal to environmentally conscious consumers because of the reduced use of plastic.”
