Klöckner Pentaplast joins ‘Save Food’ organization

 Klöckner Pentaplast has become one of the 300 members of the "Save Food" organization, to reduce the waste and loss of food.

"Save Food" is a joint initiative of the Food and Agriculture Organization FAO, the environmental program of the United Nations, UNEP, Düsseldorf Trade Fair, and "Interpack", the international trade fair for packaging machines and processes.

Companies participating in the initiative want to raise awareness among decision-makers in politics, the economy and industry to significantly counteract the waste of food.

"This membership is very important to our company. With our innovative, sustainable packaging, we make a perceptible contribution to reducing the waste of food,​" said Giles Peacock, group senior VP, Packaging & Specialties EMEA and Asia, Klöckner Pentaplast.

"Recycling and special product protection are major factors in our development processes. Further development is continuously ongoing on our technologies and formulas, as well as our sustainable production methods​."
