CGP Coating Innovation unveils Corrosafe

The coating goes onto the metal surface and prevents corrosion

CGP Coating Innovation has launched a range of corrosion inhibiting products at the Emballage trade show.

The Corrosafe range of Volatile Corrosion Inhibitor (VCI) packaging is aimed at a variety of industries including industrial packaging.

When an item is placed in the packaging VCI molecules are released and deposited on the surface of the metal to be protected, forming a protective film at molecular level.

It is the only dry type corrosion-prohibiting product that allows the end customer to use the parts ordered directly on receipt, said the firm.

Frédéric Froissart, CEO, said for suppliers of metal parts, quality issues relating to oxidation has a cost.

“Having developed proven expertise in the manufacture of technical products dedicated to logistics, such as non-slip pallet inserts or slip-sheets, we hope with the Corrosafe range, to diversify our offer and develop new markets having a substantial demand for dedicated products.”

The group opened a technical center with laboratory and test benches late last year to test and validate its products.
