The Puerto Rican bakery firm recalled its Queso cakes that had been sold wholesale and stocked in retailers across Puerto Rico.
“As of today, no illnesses have been reported in relation to this product, but it is of great important that people who are allergic or sensitive to milk, wheat or soy do not consume this product as they run the risk of having serious allergic reactions,” the company said.
The company apologized to consumers for the inconvenience and urged them to return any purchased products as soon as possible. “We will be working to correct this mishap,” it said.
The recall impacted cakes with expiry dates ranging from 08-11-2014 to 10-12-2014.
