Food packaging experts will outline emerging trends and technology at PROCESS EXPO.

“Packaging in the New Millennium” consists of two sessions looking at what’s ahead for food packaging materials, configurations and other areas. Speakers include leaders from General Mills, Sargento, Byrne Dairy, and Business Development Associates.

The first session takes place on the first day of PROCESS EXPO (Monday, November 4). The panel will discuss recent technological advances for food and beverage processing and packaging, including high-pressure pasteurization, cook-in bags and novel uses of recycled content.

Part II is scheduled on Tuesday, November 5; food firms will share insights on packaging innovations. In addition, the panel members will give their views on where current packaging trends seem to be headed.

The Packaging in the New Millennium sessions are part of the show’s PROCESS EXPO UNIVERSITY educational track. The program, which takes place in Chicago, is produced by the Food Processing Suppliers Association.
