Cats-Haensel expands twist, wrap, fold packaging into North America
The company has hired former Nicolet Instruments and Toshiba sales and marketing manager Larry Jones to head the team.
He said the move into North America made sense as The Clondalkin Group already has 10 production plants in the region including Spiralkote in Florida, which produces packaging wrappers.
“Cats-Haensel specialities include wax paper in twist and fold applications, twist films and aluminium foils and laminates and tissue papers,” he said.
“This gives us an attractive package backed up by film and foil production and converting capabilities of The Clondalkin Group.”
Jones added big brands were interested in its proprietary formulations, original lacquering and laminating technologies, gravure, flexographic and digital print alternatives as well as its water based materials.
Cats-Haensel is a supplier to the confectionery, bakery and dairy markets including clients such as Storck USA L.P. and Turin.
It has production facilities in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and Germany.
