Kellogg-owned Bear Naked has developed single serve pouches of its granola to target busy, on-the-go consumers, it said.

Bear Naked has launched ‘Morning Power Packs’ – one ounce versions of its granola in the two best-selling flavors; Fruit & Nut and Peak.

“Since eating when you’re out and about is a reality for many folds, our new Morning Power Packs can easily be thrown into a gym bag, desk drawer or school lunch, making powerful nutrition portable,” said John King, marketing director at Bear Naked.

Mintel previously highlighted health, portability and convenience as core requirements in breakfast new product development (NPD) for the US.

The new single-serve packs come in a five-count box and are available at retailers across the US including Walmart, Target and Kroger among others.
