Temperature controls handle hot food processing jobs
Oven Industries Inc. has introduced new temperature control products, geared toward a range of food processing applications, with ramp/soak capabilities.

Rose Wescott, vice president of finance and administration for Oven Industries, told FoodProductionDaily.com that the controllers are suitable for checking and controlling food environments and monitoring equipment where running at a specific temperature is important.

“This product and all our products are very useful in controlling environments,” she said.

Flexible features

The 5R6-900 temperature controller is housed in a single rugged enclosure. The device can be plugged into the wall as a self-contained temperature control system with its own power supply, a feature that helps increase its flexibility and versatility. It also can be used universally in any location the user desires.

As a solid state MOSFET bidirectional compact temperature control featuring an internal power supply, the controller can load currents up to 10A. The compact size and isolated communication port make it suitable for benchtop temperature controlling.

Computer connection

According to the manufacturer, the PC-programmable unit can be connected easily to a computer through the electrically isolated RS232 communications port. The computer can be utilized as a connector and can stand alone, once the desired parameter settings are in place. These settings are kept in the non-volatile memory.

Oven Industries offers a broad range of temperature control and sensing products. These items are suitable for food processing facilities, bakeries and other food-focused environments.
