Cloverdale Foods uses DEACOM ERP software to streamline
Cloverdale Foods, a Pennsylvania manufacturer of high-quality processed meats, has selected DEACOM ERP (enterprise resource planning) software in order to streamline its operations.

Before choosing the DEACOM software, Cloverdale Foods had in place a number of disparate systems that did not communicate well with each other. As a result, the company faced a number of obstacles:

  • Inefficient processes
  • Inaccurate inventory system
  • Lack of lot traceability
  • Staffing and succession planning frustrations.

Looking to overcome the delays and workarounds, Cloverdale Foods licensed DEACOM’s software. The company believes the single system’s flexibility and scalability reportedly will help ensure the company achieves the functionality they need.

Making the decision

An executive with Cloverdale Foods told FoodProductionDaily.com that DEACOM’s presentation and attention to service helped company representatives in their choice of ERP provider.

“The selection team felt the overall value of the DEACOM software and training was the best relative to the other software companies,” she said. “The response time/speed of the software during the demo was very impressive.”

Speed of implementation

The executive added that the company expects the ERP system will be easy to implement. No special equipment or dedicated hardware is required, except an onsite server to host it. The company provides continuous training, and staff expects it will be up and running more quickly than other systems.
