Processing Zone at PACK EXPO 2013 sells out
PACK EXPO 2013, scheduled Sept. 23-25 in Las Vegas, includes a number of show features geared toward showcasing packaging technologies for different industries and specialties. The Processing Zone pavilion will include a number of processing technologies for manufacturers in food processing that specializing in bakery and snacks, beverages, dairy and confectionery products, and other vertical sectors.
Growing zone
“Since debuting at PACK EXPO in 2010, the number of solutions providers exhibiting in The Processing Zone has increased by 42 percent,” said Jim Pittas, vice president of trade shows for PMMI, the organization that produces the annual PACK EXPO event.
According to Pittas, the growth of the Processing Zone can be attributed to food and beverage processors joining together to find common solutions. In addition, Pittas said that processors are interested in finding opportunities to be connected to solutions for their entire manufacturing lines.
Beyond the Zone
While the Processing Zone highlights technology of interest to food processing professionals, the area represents a fraction of the exhibitors highlighting processing technologies at the show. Companies offering processing solutions will also be located throughout the exhibit halls, alongside packaging equipment and materials and containers suppliers.
PACK EXPO Las Vegas will feature more than 1,600 exhibitors across approximately 700,000 net square feet of exhibit space. Other specialized areas include:
- The Confectionery Pavilion: Sponsored by the National Confectioners Association (NCA), this area focuses on solutions for candy producers.
