A possible rodent infestation has prompted Kingshill Bakery to issue a product recall on some of its breads, cakes and biscuits.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) in Northern Ireland said the company had issued the recall on a ‘precautionary basis’.

All fresh bread products with a ‘Best before’ date of 15 April 2013 have been recalled, along with cakes, buns and traybakes dated 10 May and shortbread biscuits dated 8 August.

The FSA said no other products were known to be affected.
